Phoenix Football Club

Phoenix Football Club was one of four clubs from the Republic of Ireland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Phoenix Football Club, 171 other teams from 29 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 42 different groups, whereof Phoenix Football Club could be found in Group 42 together with Kiruna FF, BK Sport and Moss FK. Phoenix Football Club made it to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 42. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Beirut FAC, which they won with 2-0. Thereby Phoenix Football Club won the entire Play off B in Boys 16 during Gothia Cup 2019. Phoenix Football comes from DUBLIN which lies approximately 1200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around DUBLIN does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Frankfort FC and Peamount United F.C.).
