Frankfort FC

Frankfort FC was one of four clubs from the Republic of Ireland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Frankfort FC, 134 other teams from 26 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 33 different groups, whereof Frankfort FC could be found in Group 22 together with Glios Football Academy, Alingsås IF and AFC Eskilstuna. Frankfort FC continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 22. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against TSV Uesen with 0-1. In the Final, Sävedalens IF won over Tidaholms GIF and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Frankfort FC also participated in Boys 18 during Gothia Cup 2018. They reached the 1/32 Final in B18 Play off A, but lost it against IFK Östersund with 1-3. Frankfort FC comes from Dublin which lies approximately 1200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Dublin does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Phoenix Football Club and Peamount United F.C.).
