Haleta Academy

Haleta Academy was the only club from Ethiopia that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Haleta Academy, 162 other teams from 32 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 40 different groups, whereof Haleta Academy could be found in Group 18 together with Prep Schools Lions Blue, Hässleholms IF 1 and IFK Lidingö FK 2. Haleta Academy continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 18. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Kortedala IF with 0-3. In the Final, LAZ Stockerau won over Jönköpings Södra IF Grön and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Haleta Academy comes from Addis Ababa which lies approximately 5900 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
