IK Gauthiod

IK Gauthiod was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to IK Gauthiod, 58 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 14 different groups, whereof IK Gauthiod could be found in Group 7 together with Orust FC, Galatasaray Lisesi, Torsby IF and Typhoon FC. IK Gauthiod continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Lillehammer KFK with 2-3. In the Final, KFV Segeberg won over Ope IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 18. Gauthiod comes from Grästorp which lies approximately 79 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Grästorp does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Råda BK, Vänersborgs FK, IFK Trollhättan, Åsebro IF and Halvorstorps IS).
