AF Alcoitão

AF Alcoitão was one of five clubs from Portugal that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to AF Alcoitão, 221 other teams from 31 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 55 different groups, whereof AF Alcoitão could be found in Group 4 together with Nockebyhovs IF, Gimonäs Umeå IF and SKF Indonesia. AF Alcoitão continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Linköpings FF with 0-1. In the Final, DJK Arminia Eilendorf won over Helium FA and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 15. AF Alcoitão comes from Cascais which lies approximately 2600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Cascais does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Colegio São João de Brito and GD Estoril Praia).
