VfL Pinneberg

VfL Pinneberg was one of 56 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to VfL Pinneberg, 110 other teams from 14 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof VfL Pinneberg could be found in Group 10 together with Eskilsminne IF, Umeå Södra FF, Hellerup IK 2 and Kullavik IF. VfL Pinneberg continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 10. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against AIK FF with 0-2. In the Final, Team Odense Q won over Boo FF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. Pinneberg comes from Wolfsburg which lies approximately 600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than VfL Pinneberg, the club FC Hennef 05 does also originate from the area around Wolfsburg.
