Vålerenga Fotball

Vålerenga Fotball was one of 61 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Vålerenga Fotball, 58 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 14 different groups, whereof Vålerenga Fotball could be found in Group 4 together with Näsets SK/IF Väster, Umedalens IF and Wizard SC. Vålerenga Fotball made it to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 4. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against Göteborgs DFF with 0-2. Thereby Vålerenga Fotball finished second in G18 Play off A during Gothia Cup 2019. Vålerenga Fotball also participated in Girls 18 during Gothia Cup 2018. They reached the Semi final in G18 Play off A, but lost it against FC Djursholm with 5-6. Vålerenga Fotball comes from Oslo which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Oslo does also provide 16 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Among others: Nesodden IF, Lyn Fotball, Bødalen IF, KFUM - Oslo, Stabæk Fotball, Ski Fotball, Gjelleråsen IF, Lommedalens IL, Lambertseter IF and Lørenskog IF).
