Special Olympics Cyprus

Special Olympics Cyprus was one of two clubs from Cyprus that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Gothia Special Olympics Trophy. In addition to Special Olympics Cyprus, 29 other teams from 14 different countries played in Gothia Special Olympics Trophy. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Special Olympics Cyprus could be found in Group D together with Trollenäs IF, Special Olympics Germany, Långared BoIS and Special Olympics Belgium. Special Olympics Cyprus comes from Nicosia which lies approximately 3000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Special Olympics Cyprus, the club Efthymiades FA does also originate from the area around Nicosia.
