Irsta IF

Irsta IF was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Irsta IF, 171 other teams from 29 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 42 different groups, whereof Irsta IF could be found in Group 4 together with Live your world cup, SK Vard Haugesund and Monte Libano. Irsta IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against KA with 1-4. In the Final, Phoenix Football Club won over Beirut FAC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Irsta comes from Västerås which lies approximately 340 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Västerås does also provide 17 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Among others: Skultuna IS, Västerås BK30, Västerås IK, Syrianska Eskilstuna IF, Fanna BK, BK Sport, Skiljebo SK, Eskilstuna United DFF, Jäders IF and Eskilstuna City FK).
