Essinge IK

Essinge IK was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Essinge IK, 134 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 33 different groups, whereof Essinge IK could be found in Group 23 together with Rahlstedter, SC 1, Friska Viljor FC and AS Academy. Essinge IK continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 23. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Triangelns IK with 0-2. In the Final, Sävedalens IF won over Tidaholms GIF and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Essinge comes from Stockholm which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Stockholm does also provide 52 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Among others: IFK Lidingö FK, Danderyds SK, Tyresö FF, IFK Österåker, Gustavsbergs IF, Boo FF, IFK Haninge, Älvsjö AIK FF, BK Sport Mix and Vasastan BK).
