Helsingborgs IF

In addition to Helsingborgs IF, 31 other teams played in SEF Trophy. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Helsingborgs IF could be found in Group 5 together with IF Elfsborg, Östers IF and Sollentuna FK. Helsingborgs IF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against BK Häcken with 1-2. In the Final, IF Brommapojkarna won over BK Häcken and became the winner of Play off A in SEF Trophy. Helsingborgs IF also participated in SEF Trophy during Gothia Cup 2018. They reached the final in Play off A, but lost it against AIK FF with 0-2 and ended up in second place.
