Santos Laguna CDMX

Santos Laguna CDMX was one of 15 clubs from Mexico that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Santos Laguna CDMX, 173 other teams from 24 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 43 different groups, whereof Santos Laguna CDMX could be found in Group 3 together with Onsala BK, Breidablik 4 and Hammarby IF FF 2. Santos Laguna CDMX continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against IF Lödde 2 with 2-5. In the Final, IF Brommapojkarna 1 won over CD Inter Vista Alegre and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 14. Santos Laguna CDMX comes from MEXICO which lies approximately 9400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around MEXICO does also provide 12 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Among others: Bosque, Mexcales F.C, SLD Queretaro, Intercups MX, Privado San Javier, Colegio Aleman, Ibero Sport Mexico FC, CIFU, Academy Elite and Club Reforma).
