Mälarhöjdens IK

Mälarhöjdens IK was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Mälarhöjdens IK, 110 other teams from 14 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Mälarhöjdens IK could be found in Group 3 together with Stenungsunds IF, Lake Norman and IFK Ludvika. Mälarhöjdens IK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IBFF with 0-3. In the Final, IFK Göteborg won over Sundsvalls DFF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Mälarhöjdens comes from Hägersten which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hägersten does also provide 53 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Among others: Järna SK, IFK Lidingö FK, Danderyds SK, Tyresö FF, IFK Österåker, Gustavsbergs IF, Boo FF, IFK Haninge, Älvsjö AIK FF and BK Sport Mix).
