Furulunds IK

Furulunds IK was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Furulunds IK, 88 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 22 different groups, whereof Furulunds IK could be found in Group 15 together with Fylkir, Stabæk Fotball and Högbo AIK. Furulunds IK continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 15. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Västerås BK30 with 2-3. In the Final, Lerums IS won over Viborg Q and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. Furulunds IK also participated in Girls 15 during Gothia Cup 2018. They reached the 1/16 Final in G15 Play off A, but lost it against Sävedalens IF with 0-2. Furulunds comes from Furulund which lies approximately 230 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Furulund does also provide 31 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Among others: Borstahusens BK, Dalby GIF, Staffanstorps United, Kulladals FF, Svedala IF, FC Staffanstorp, IF Lödde, Hellerup IK, Fortuna FF and Eslövs BK).
