IK Grand Bodø

IK Grand Bodø was one of 61 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to IK Grand Bodø, 171 other teams from 29 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 42 different groups, whereof IK Grand Bodø could be found in Group 17 together with C.F Internacional Monterrey, Upsala IF and Salam FC. IK Grand Bodø continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 17. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Reinen IL with 0-4. In the Final, Phoenix Football Club won over Beirut FAC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. IK Grand Bodø also participated in Boys 15 during Gothia Cup 2018. They reached the 1/64 Final in B15 Play off B, but lost it against E.C. Pinheiros Futebol Base with 1-2. Grand Bodø comes from Bodø which lies approximately 1100 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than IK Grand Bodø, the club IK Junkeren does also originate from the area around Bodø.
