Torsby IF

Torsby IF was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Torsby IF, 58 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 14 different groups, whereof Torsby IF could be found in Group 7 together with Orust FC, Galatasaray Lisesi, Typhoon FC and IK Gauthiod. Torsby IF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Göteborgs DFF with 0-4. In the Final, Göteborgs DFF won over Vålerenga Fotball and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 18. Torsby comes from Torsby which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Torsby does also provide 52 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Among others: IFK Lidingö FK, Danderyds SK, Tyresö FF, IFK Österåker, Gustavsbergs IF, Boo FF, IFK Haninge, Älvsjö AIK FF, BK Sport Mix and Vasastan BK).
