Johannesburg FC

Johannesburg FC was one of 11 clubs from South Africa that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 13. In addition to Johannesburg FC, 154 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 13. They were divided into 38 different groups, whereof Johannesburg FC could be found in Group 29 together with Pro Series Hampshire, Älvsjö AIK FF Bravo and Högbo AIK. Johannesburg FC continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 29. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IF Brommapojkarna 2 with 3-5. In the Final, IF Brommapojkarna 1 won over IF Brommapojkarna 2 and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 13. Johannesburg FC comes from Boksburg which lies approximately 9500 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Johannesburg FC, the club Olympia FC does also originate from the area around Boksburg.
