San Diego Soccer Club

San Diego Soccer Club was one of 50 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to San Diego Soccer Club, 94 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 23 different groups, whereof San Diego Soccer Club could be found in Group 12 together with Enebybergs IF, Hittarps IK and Sandsbro AIK. San Diego Soccer Club continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against FSCDM Minsk with 1-2. In the Final, Södra Sandby IF won over KFV Segeberg and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 14. San Diego Soccer comes from San Diego which lies approximately 8900 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around San Diego does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (SoCal United, Encinitas Express and San Diego Football Academy).
