IFK Kalmar

IFK Kalmar was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to IFK Kalmar, 58 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 14 different groups, whereof IFK Kalmar could be found in Group 12 together with TuS Schwachhausen, Tyresö FF and Torslanda IK. IFK Kalmar continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Eriksbergs IF with 1-2. In the Final, Göteborgs DFF won over Vålerenga Fotball and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 18. IFK Kalmar comes from Kalmar which lies approximately 290 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Kalmar does also provide 8 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Hossmo BK, Glömminge/Algutsrum IF, Färjestadens GoIF, Torsås GoIF, Lindsdals IF, Nybro IF, Kalmar FF and IFK Berga).
