IFK Östersund

IFK Östersund was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to IFK Östersund, 134 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 33 different groups, whereof IFK Östersund could be found in Group 24 together with Kharis Sports Academy, Strindheim IL, Rahlstedter, SC 2 and Sleipner, IK. IFK Östersund continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 24. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Team Ted FC with 3-5. In the Final, Kharis Sports Academy won over Greengen FC and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. IFK Östersund also participated in Boys 18 during Gothia Cup 2018. They reached the 1/8 Final in B18 Play off A, but lost it against Ag Paraskevi Santa 1 with 1-2. IFK Östersund comes from Östersund which lies approximately 620 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Östersund does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Östersunds FK, Ås IF and Ope IF).
