Gjelleråsen IF

Gjelleråsen IF was one of 61 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Gjelleråsen IF, 88 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 22 different groups, whereof Gjelleråsen IF could be found in Group 20 together with KFV Segeberg, Vaksala SK and Onsala BK. Gjelleråsen IF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 20. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Älvängens IK with 0-2. In the Final, Lerums IS won over Viborg Q and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. Gjelleråsen comes from Hagan which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hagan does also provide 16 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Among others: Nesodden IF, Lyn Fotball, Bødalen IF, KFUM - Oslo, Stabæk Fotball, Ski Fotball, Lommedalens IL, Lambertseter IF, Lørenskog IF and Snarøya Sportklubb).
