Efthymiades FA

Efthymiades FA was one of two clubs from Cyprus that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 13. In addition to Efthymiades FA, 154 other teams from 29 different countries played in Boys 13. They were divided into 38 different groups, whereof Efthymiades FA could be found in Group 10 together with Finlandia Pallo AIF, Russell Martin Academy and Walddörfer SV 1. Efthymiades FA continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 10. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Backatorp IF with 1-7. In the Final, IF Brommapojkarna 1 won over IF Brommapojkarna 2 and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 13. Efthymiades FA comes from NICOSIA which lies approximately 3000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Efthymiades FA, the club Special Olympics Cyprus does also originate from the area around NICOSIA.
