Västanfors IF

Västanfors IF was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Västanfors IF, 110 other teams from 14 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Västanfors IF could be found in Group 20 together with Hanvikens SK 2, Älmhults IF and FK Gjøvik-Lyn. Västanfors IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 20. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Viggbyholms IK FF with 0-1. In the Final, IFK Göteborg won over Sundsvalls DFF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Västanfors comes from Fagersta which lies approximately 340 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Västanfors IF, the club Fagersta Södra IK does also originate from the area around Fagersta.
