Olympia FC

Olympia FC was one of 11 clubs from South Africa that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 13. In addition to Olympia FC, 154 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 13. They were divided into 38 different groups, whereof Olympia FC could be found in Group 37 together with Trosvik IF 2, Tvärred/Vegby and Fässbergs IF. Olympia FC continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 37. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against SK Sprint-Jeløy 1 with 1-5. In the Final, IF Brommapojkarna 1 won over IF Brommapojkarna 2 and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 13. Olympia FC comes from Johannesburg which lies approximately 9500 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Olympia FC, the club Johannesburg FC does also originate from the area around Johannesburg.
