Smedby AIS

Smedby AIS was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Smedby AIS, 221 other teams from 31 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 55 different groups, whereof Smedby AIS could be found in Group 29 together with Utbynäs SK, Helium FA, Nordhordland BK and Södra Skärgården IK. Smedby AIS continued to Play off B after reaching 5:th place in Group 29. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against FK Lillehammer with 6-8. In the Final, DJK Arminia Eilendorf won over Helium FA and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 15. Smedby AIS comes from Norrköping which lies approximately 270 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Norrköping does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Lindö FF Norrköping, IFK Norrköping, Sleipner, IK and Linghem SK/Tallboda IF).
