Fløya IF

Fløya IF was one of 61 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Fløya IF, 58 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 14 different groups, whereof Fløya IF could be found in Group 13 together with Jitex Mölndal BK, IFK Tidaholm and KFV Segeberg. Fløya IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 13. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IF Elfsborg with 0-3. In the Final, Göteborgs DFF won over Vålerenga Fotball and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 18. Fløya comes from Tromsø which lies approximately 1400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Tromsø does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (IL Ulfstind, Tromsø IL, Reinen IL and IF Skarp).
