Medkila IL

Medkila IL was one of 61 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Medkila IL, 88 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 22 different groups, whereof Medkila IL could be found in Group 21 together with Nyköpings BIS, BV Werther and Ås IF. Medkila IL continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 21. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Lillestrøm SK with 0-4. In the Final, Lerums IS won over Viborg Q and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. Medkila comes from Harstad which lies approximately 1200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Medkila IL, the club IF Kilkameratene does also originate from the area around Harstad.
