Sövestads IF

Sövestads IF was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Sövestads IF, 171 other teams from 29 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 42 different groups, whereof Sövestads IF could be found in Group 8 together with Emmaboda IS, Grane, IK, SC Weitmar 45 and Specifique FA Tunisia. Sövestads IF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 8. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against GIF Sundsvall with 0-4. In the Final, ED Moratalaz won over SKF Latvia and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Sövestads comes from Ystad which lies approximately 270 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Ystad does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Dalby GIF, Svedala IF, Södra Sandby IF and BK Olympic).
