IR Academy

IR Academy was one of 50 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to IR Academy, 173 other teams from 24 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 43 different groups, whereof IR Academy could be found in Group 26 together with Begby IL, Lerums IS and AFC Eskilstuna. IR Academy continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 26. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Alingsås IF with 1-2. In the Final, IF Brommapojkarna 1 won over CD Inter Vista Alegre and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 14. IR Academy comes from Elk Grove which lies approximately 8500 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
