Vejby IF

Vejby IF was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Vejby IF, 162 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 40 different groups, whereof Vejby IF could be found in Group 40 together with KFV Segeberg 3, Mubadala Rep Team, FC Bellevue 3 and Kungsbacka IF 3. Vejby IF continued to Play off B after reaching 5:th place in Group 40. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Kungsbacka IF 1 with 3-5. In the Final, LAZ Stockerau won over Jönköpings Södra IF Grön and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Vejby comes from Vejbystrand which lies approximately 170 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Vejbystrand does also provide 12 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Among others: Hittarps IK, Munka-Ljungby IF, Helsingborgs IF, Västra Karups iF, Förslövs IF, Bjäre United, Råå IF, Eskilsminne IF, Helsingborg City FC and Hasslövs IS/Skottorp).
