Markaryds IF

Markaryds IF was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Markaryds IF, 162 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 40 different groups, whereof Markaryds IF could be found in Group 4 together with FC Ajax - Tallinn, SKF Argentina and Sollentuna FK 3. Markaryds IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Autobahn Soccer Club with 1-3. In the Final, LAZ Stockerau won over Jönköpings Södra IF Grön and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Markaryds comes from Markaryd which lies approximately 170 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Markaryd does also provide 8 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (IFK Osby, Hässleholms IF, Vankiva IF, Råstorp/Timsfors IF, Wisseltofta IF, Älmhults IF, IFK Hässleholm and Hasslövs IS/Skottorp).
