Åhus IF

Åhus IF was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Åhus IF, 110 other teams from 14 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Åhus IF could be found in Group 22 together with SC Nagaland, IF Brommapojkarna and Västerås BK30. Åhus IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 22. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Rödeby AIF with 3-4. In the Final, IFK Göteborg won over Sundsvalls DFF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Åhus comes from Åhus which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Åhus does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Vinslövs IF, Kristianstad FC, Sölvesborgs GIF, Åhus Horna BK and Kristianstads DFF).
