Stala IF

Stala IF was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Stala IF, 134 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 33 different groups, whereof Stala IF could be found in Group 2 together with Higashiyama Highschool, SK Djerv 1919 and Walddörfer SV 2. Stala IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Sävedalens IF with 0-1. In the Final, Sävedalens IF won over Tidaholms GIF and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Stala IF also participated in Boys 18 during Gothia Cup 2018. They reached the 1/32 Final in B18 Play off A, but lost it against Stars'n Stripes Blue with 4-6. Stala comes from Varekil which lies approximately 49 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Varekil does also provide 16 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Among others: IK Kongahälla, Orust FC, Ytterby IS, Romelanda UF, Stenungsunds IF, Skärhamns IK, Lödöse Nygård IK, SBTK/LNIK, Ale United and Älvängens IK).
