Mönsterås GoIF

Mönsterås GoIF was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Mönsterås GoIF, 94 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 23 different groups, whereof Mönsterås GoIF could be found in Group 7 together with Danderyds SK, Ellicott City SC and Stattena IF. Mönsterås GoIF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Lillehammer KFK 2 with 1-4. In the Final, Lillestrøm SK won over Rynninge IK and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 14. Mönsterås GoIF comes from Mönsterås which lies approximately 280 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Mönsterås does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Rödsle BK, Oskarshamns AIK, Högsby IK and Lindsdals IF).
