Azalea BK

Azalea BK was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Azalea BK, 171 other teams from 29 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 42 different groups, whereof Azalea BK could be found in Group 15 together with FK Lillehammer, University of Pretoria and IFK Viksjö. Azalea BK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 15. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Syrianska Eskilstuna IF with 3-4. In the Final, Phoenix Football Club won over Beirut FAC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Azalea originates from Göteborg, which is the same city as where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Göteborg does also provide 74 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Among others: Öjersjö IF, FC West, Eriksbergs IF, Donsö IS, IK Kongahälla, Ösets BK, Guldhedens IK, Öckerö IF, Södra Skärgården IK and Kärra Dragons).
