Ytterby IS

Ytterby IS was one of 402 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2019. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Ytterby IS, 134 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 33 different groups, whereof Ytterby IS could be found in Group 4 together with Altona 93, Bälinge IF and Associacao Black Bulls. Ytterby IS continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against GB Academy with 1-2. In the Final, Kharis Sports Academy won over Greengen FC and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. Ytterby IS comes from Kungälv which lies approximately 14 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Kungälv does also provide 82 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2019 (Among others: Öjersjö IF, FC West, Eriksbergs IF, Donsö IS, IK Kongahälla, Ösets BK, Guldhedens IK, Öckerö IF, Södra Skärgården IK and Kärra Dragons).
