GIF Nike

GIF Nike was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to GIF Nike, 90 other teams from 7 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 22 different groups, whereof GIF Nike could be found in Group 7 together with Vaksala SK, Askims IK and Piteå IF 3. GIF Nike continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against FC Hessleholm with 0-1. In the Final, FC Hessleholm won over Onsala BK and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 14. GIF Nike comes from Lomma which lies approximately 240 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Lomma does also provide 28 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Among others: Husie IF, LB07, Trollenäs IF, Hyllie IK, Glumslövs FF, IF Lödde, Bjärreds IF, Skanör-Falsterbo IF, V. Ingelstad IS and Uppåkra IF).
