FC Wacker Innsbruck

FC Wacker Innsbruck was the only club from Austria that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to FC Wacker Innsbruck, 68 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 17 different groups, whereof FC Wacker Innsbruck could be found in Group 17 together with Medkila IL, Asarums IF/FK and Kungsbacka DFF. FC Wacker Innsbruck continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 17. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Kristianstads DFF with 0-1. In the Final, Kristianstads DFF won over Medkila IL and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 18. FC Wacker Innsbruck comes from Innsbruck which lies approximately 1200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
