Norrby IF

Norrby IF was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Norrby IF, 148 other teams from 28 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 37 different groups, whereof Norrby IF could be found in Group 14 together with Utsiktens BK/ Näsets SK, Samaya FA and Entente Osten Luxembourg. Norrby IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 14. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Lusaka Youth Soccer Academy with 1-6. In the Final, Örgryte IS won over V. Frölunda IF and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. Norrby IF also participated in Boys 18 during Gothia Cup 2017. They reached the 1/8 Final in B18 Play off A, but lost it against OLYMPIACOS ACADEMIC with 2-5. Norrby comes from Borås which lies approximately 57 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Borås does also provide 17 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Among others: Alingsås IF, Bollebygds IF, Sjömarken/Sandareds IF, HUS, Svenljunga IK, Lerums IS, IF Elfsborg, Ulricehamns IFK, Stenkullen GoIK and Fristad GoIF/Sparsörs).
