Sandar IL

Sandar IL was one of 56 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Sandar IL, 148 other teams from 28 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 37 different groups, whereof Sandar IL could be found in Group 7 together with SV Rugenbergen, Kungsladugårds BK and FC Saint Cloud. Sandar IL continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against SSC Hagen Ahrensburg with 1-3. In the Final, NorCal Premier PDP won over Windsor FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Sandar IL also participated in Boys 18 during Gothia Cup 2017. They reached the 1/32 Final in B18 Play off A, but lost it against Limay Ville with 2-3. Sandar comes from Sandefjord which lies approximately 180 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Sandefjord does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (IL Runar, Store Bergan IL and Helgerød/Gøif).
