Vittsjö GIK

Vittsjö GIK was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Vittsjö GIK, 68 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 17 different groups, whereof Vittsjö GIK could be found in Group 3 together with IFK Timrå, Del Mar Sharks and Bossekop UL. Vittsjö GIK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Svärtinge SK with 0-1. In the Final, Kristianstads DFF won over Medkila IL and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 18. Vittsjö GIK comes from Vittsjö which lies approximately 190 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Vittsjö does also provide 9 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (IFK Osby, Älmhults IF, IFK Knislinge, Vinslövs IF, IFK Hässleholm, Markaryds IF, Broby IF, FC Hessleholm and Hässleholms IF).
