J-L Juniors

J-L Juniors was one of three clubs from Japan that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to J-L Juniors, 195 other teams from 38 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof J-L Juniors could be found in Group 2 together with SK Djerv 1919, AF Alcoitão and Gideonsbergs IF. J-L Juniors continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Albatroz SC with 1-2. In the Final, AP Top 54 won over Stjarnan 1 and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 15. J-L Juniors comes from Tokyo which lies approximately 8500 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Tokyo does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (FC Tokyo and Tokyo Verdy).
