Arna-Bjørnar

Arna-Bjørnar was one of 56 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Arna-Bjørnar, 97 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 24 different groups, whereof Arna-Bjørnar could be found in Group 7 together with Matfors IF, Gideonsbergs IF 2, Dösjöbro/Vellinge and Scandia United SA. Arna-Bjørnar continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Tiller 1 with 0-2. In the Final, Tiller 1 won over Valur and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. Arna-Bjørnar comes from Bergen which lies approximately 470 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Arna-Bjørnar, the club Nordhordland BK does also originate from the area around Bergen.
