FC Tokyo

FC Tokyo was one of three clubs from Japan that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Gothia Trophy (B17). In addition to FC Tokyo, 35 other teams from 12 different countries played in Gothia Trophy (B17). They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof FC Tokyo could be found in Group 3 together with Djurgårdens IF, Örebro SK and Deportivo Alaves. FC Tokyo continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against IFK Göteborg with 0-2. In the Final, Right to Dream won over IFK Göteborg and became the winner of Play off A in Gothia Trophy (B17). The area around does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (J-L Juniors and Tokyo Verdy).
