Frankfort FC

Frankfort FC was one of two clubs from the Republic of Ireland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Frankfort FC, 148 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 37 different groups, whereof Frankfort FC could be found in Group 29 together with IFK Skövde FK, Al-Qadesyah Club and Rahlstedter, SC. Frankfort FC continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 29. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against IFK Östersund with 1-3. In the Final, Örgryte IS won over V. Frölunda IF and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. Frankfort FC also participated in Boys 18 during Gothia Cup 2017. They reached the 1/32 Final in B18 Play off B, but lost it against Nordhordland BK with 1-2. Frankfort FC comes from Dublin which lies approximately 1200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
