Maryland United FC

Maryland United FC was one of 44 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Maryland United FC, 187 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Maryland United FC could be found in Group 37 together with Stjarnan, Vallens IF and Skultorps IF. Maryland United FC continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 37. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against GAIS with 0-1. In the Final, Ryerson SC West won over PLAYR Academy and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Maryland United FC comes from MD which lies approximately 210 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
