Academy of Baghdad

Academy of Baghdad was one of three clubs from Jordan that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Academy of Baghdad, 148 other teams from 28 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 37 different groups, whereof Academy of Baghdad could be found in Group 11 together with SC Nienstedten, IFK Uppsala and SK Djerv 1919. Academy of Baghdad continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 11. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against TSV Uesen with 0-2. In the Final, NorCal Premier PDP won over Windsor FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. The area around does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (FISA Jordan and Al-Qadesyah Club).
