Golden State SC

Golden State SC was one of 44 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Golden State SC, 68 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 17 different groups, whereof Golden State SC could be found in Group 12 together with FC Djursholm, Svärtinge SK and Lyn Fotball. Golden State SC continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against AIK FF with 0-1. In the Final, Kristianstads DFF won over Medkila IL and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 18. Golden State comes from Hemet which lies approximately 8800 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
