Malmö FF

Malmö FF was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in SEF Trophy. In addition to Malmö FF, 35 other teams played in SEF Trophy. They were divided into 9 different groups, whereof Malmö FF could be found in Group 9 together with GIF Sundsvall, Karlslunds IF HFK and IFK Uddevalla. Malmö FF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Helsingborgs IF with 0-1. In the Final, AIK FF won over Helsingborgs IF and became the winner of Play off A in SEF Trophy. Malmö comes from Malmö which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Malmö does also provide 27 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Among others: Husie IF, LB07, Trollenäs IF, Hyllie IK, IF Lödde, Bjärreds IF, Skanör-Falsterbo IF, V. Ingelstad IS, Uppåkra IF and IFK Klagshamn).
