Alvesta GIF

Alvesta GIF was one of 427 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2018. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Alvesta GIF, 90 other teams from 7 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 22 different groups, whereof Alvesta GIF could be found in Group 15 together with Torslanda IK, Hanvikens SK 2 and FH 1. Alvesta GIF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 15. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Onsala BK with 0-2. In the Final, FC Hessleholm won over Onsala BK and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 14. Alvesta GIF comes from Alvesta which lies approximately 180 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Alvesta does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2018 (Växjö DFF, Sandsbro AIK, Virestad IF/Grimslövs and Östers IF).
